Entourage spontaneously starting

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

A two- part problem.

1: Entourage 2008 is spontaneously launching itself periodically, at least several times per day. I have no idea why.

2. When it launches, it asks: "MS Entourage wants to use the font "[insert a font name here]" on the volume [a boot volume other than my Leopard volume]. This font is not installed. Allow Microsoft Entourage to use this font?"

Here's more detail: I have both a Tiger and a Leopard volume on my MacBook Pro- I have to go back and forth sometimes for some software compatibility issues. The active Microsoft User Data folder is in the Documents folder of the Tiger drive, and there is an alias to it in the Documents folder of the Leopard drive. This might explain why it's looking for a font that's not installed, but does not explain why it's spontaneously launching.

Try placing the Microsoft User Data folder on the Leopard drive and alias
back to Tiger. You could also install the fonts on the Tiger drive. In
Office 2008 all the fonts are installed in /Library/Fonts/Microsoft folder.
Just drag over the folder to Tiger. Let me know if this works.

Office 2008 Font Install:

Office 2008 uses a different method for fonts and many fonts are new
versions. Office 2008 will install fonts to the /Library/Fonts/Microsoft
folder. By being at the root, then all users on the machine have access to
them and you don't get Office 2008 putting multiple copies on the machine
for each user.

The installer will scour /Library/Fonts/ and ~/Library/Fonts/ for fonts with
the same name and move them to /Library/Disabled Fonts/ or
~/Library/Disabled Fonts/ depending on where they were found.

Do you have something like MenuCalendarClock running on your machine?
I've heard of third party utilities spontaneously launching Entourage.

Hope this helps!
