Entourage stole my mails!

What could have happened? Last week I was trying to find some old mail from my Outlook and didn't found it. Then I realize that I didn't have any mails older than 6.6.2008 in my Inbox in Outlook. When I checked my Entourage all my mails were there.
It seems that almost all my mails are kind of exported from Exchange to my entourage. Is there anything that I can do to get them back to where they should be?

I suspect that Outlook has done a mailbox clean up - the messages you
see in Entourage are the locally cached copies.

If you want them back in Outlook, try using the 'redirect' command to
send them back to yourself.

If you want to stop it happening again, check the settings in Outlook
and urn off automatic mail box archiving.

Hi and thanks for your replies,

I don't believe it is my Outlook. I don't use archiving or any other mailbox clean up as our company is small and we have plenty of space for mails.
It must be something that entourage did. Is there some auto clean up Entourage that could have done it?

How this redirect work? Is it just forwarding type of command so that all mails will be time stamped again? I would really like them to be just where they were so that last years mails would be where they should and not in my today box :)

there are no automated clean up routines in Entourage.

it's kind of like a forward, but it retains the original headers. not
sure if it would give you a new 'received' date, but the 'sent' date
would certainly be the original.

find 'redirect' under the 'Message' menu when an incoming message is
selected.

This sounds like you've connected to your Exchange Server as a POP
client, which downloads and deletes by default, rather than as an
Exchange client, which synchronizes messages.

Check your account under Tools --> Accounts... and verify whether your
account shows POP or Exchange in parentheses behind its name.

Hope this helps!

Cheers, I will try that redirect when I'm back at my office.

William: I haven't used it in POP mode and double checked that so it's not that even though it actually sounds like so.
