Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Email Client: Exchange
I am in the process of migrating a company from an older Exchange 2003 / 2003 server setup to Exchange 2007 / 2008 server. So far the migration has gone well but we have had a few glitches. The main issue now is that for the last week or so some clients on the local network will be disconnected every 15-30 minutes or receive a password error. Sometimes if they close Entourage and open it then it works fine then it suddenly is not connected. Sometimes they are prompted for a password and when they click no to not change it then it connects. Does anyone know why it would do this? I've poured over the event logs on the server and have done countless searches elsewhere but there is not a clear reason as to why it would do this. One thing that I noticed is that if I changed the server address from the standard setting: https//mail.domain.com/exchange/[email protected] to just mail.domain.com then it works perfect. That won't work as a permanent solution because once they are outside the network they will have to manually change the server address back.
