Entourage stops responding when I run send/receive

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

Two days ago the send/receive on my entourage stopped functioning. Every time I try to receive or send an e-mail entourage locks up and I have to force quit. Any suggestions? I can go online to receive my e-mail so it is not the server.

Most likely it's a bad message on the server that is blocking Entourage from
downloading your messages. Use your browser to delete suspicious messages
and see if Send & Receive resumes.
