Entourage SUDDENLY stopped receiving incoming Exchange emails?

Hi

I have been using Entourage as my Exchange client with two companies for the
past 2 years.

Yesterday afternoon it suddenly and inexplicably stopped receiving emails
from Exchange.

It still APPEARS to be syncing.

And I can still SEND emails, just will not receive.

All other email accounts work fine.

My Outlook client running under a VM is working flawlessly.

I have rebuilt the Entourage Database but this has not made any difference.

HELP PLEASE?

I should add that the diary also seems to be syncing fine and is being
updated with changes I make in my temporary Outlook client.

But still not receiving emails into the Exchange inbox in Entourage.

Stopped mid afternoon yesterday for no apparent reason?

I am assured NO changes have happened on the Exchange end yesterday!

Robin,

I'm experiencing EXACT the same problem.
It can sent mail and sent/receive appointments and contacts. But when it
receives mail from my exchange account, they magically disappear....

Switching form exchange server 2003 to 2007 didn't help either.

If I find the solution, I'll let you know!

Hi, I have same problem too.

Entourage can't recieve my Gmail accounted mails. (the other accounts are
working)
And giving me;
' An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down, overloaded,
or there may be too much net traffic. '
That error message for 3 days.

Did you able to find any solution?

I found a solution BUT I do a LOT of backups..........

I fond my Entourage backup of the night before the problem.

And I restored the whole Microsoft folder in my Document folder from the
backup.

I then restarted the computer and tried Entourage again.

It burst back into life but no idea why it stopped in the first place!

I found it :)

the trick is to empty the cache of the exchange account.

in the left column, right-click the Exchange account. (the gray bar)
Click "folder properties" (I use a dutch version, so I'm not sure if I've
translated "mapeigenschappen" correctly)
There you see a button to empty the cache. In My case (800Mb mail file) I
had to wait for 20 minutes).
It empties the server-copy on your computers and starts to retrieve
everything from the server. And it magically repaired the incoming mail
problem as well!

hope it helps!
