Hi!

My Entourage stopped working with all my IMAP accounts, but works fine with echange-account. This happends over-night, yesterday everything was fine and today I get error 3260 !

I have tried to add totally new accounts, remove existing and add them again but nothing works. I have PC in the same network with Outlook and all IMAP accounts works in it with same settings.

I have lots of questions:

Are all these IMAP accounts from the same mail provider? Have you contacted
the provider to see if they made some account changes that might affect
Entourage? Can you access these accounts from web-based mail?

Is the error code actually -3260? That indicates an Exchange error, not an
IMAP error? Are the accounts Exchange accounts accessed via IMAP, perhaps.

That's Connection Refused.
There could be multiple reasons for that:
- you're connecting without SSL and SSL is now required
- the DNS server is funky and doesn't direct you to the proper server
(you need to wait for it to update the IPs).
- you have a firewall blocking this type of traffic (LittleSnitch??)

etc

Thank you for quick replies!

No, all IMAP accounts are in different servers and mail providers. I contacted one mail provider, no changes are maid. And I can access to all accounts with web-clients and MS Outlook just Entourage is acting out.

As mentioned, no changes are made by me or mail providers. MS Outlook works in the same network with same gateway and dns server. MS Outlook allso works on XP over VMware Fusion in this Mac. And all IMAP accounts are on different providers...
It can't be firewall problem since I can telnet to all IMAP servers on port 143.

Sorry guys, no solution so far

More info about issues:

I noticed that I can't connect to Messenger or Windows Live Sync eighter! Messenger tells that username or password are wrong; this is uncorrect, I double checked both and did connect from XP machine. Live Sync tells that service is down, but again XP machine works just fine.

Prehaps these problems are related!

I had identical problem. My MSN Hotmail IMAP stopped like someone
flipped a switch. My other two IMAP accounts (University of Minnesota
and .MAC) work just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Did Microsoft turn off IMAP now that they gave everyone POP3?

thanks
Jerry
