Entourage Syncing Problems

I'm having syncing problems with Entourage. Though it was working last week,
now when I add events to the Entourage calendar, they don't get transferred
to iCal, and don't show up on my iPhone. At least twice I've gotten errors
that "Microsoft Sync Services" has had to shut down. Once, last week, after
I clicked "restart services," all the items on my calendar got doubled. This
week, I just restarted instead, but now I'm not getting any transfer to
iCal.

Jesus, how hard can it be to just write out the damn calendar to iCal? I'm
not sure how to fix what's going on here.

I want to use Entourage for an upcoming political campaign, because the
project tools and ability to link emails to contacts, etc, are very useful.
But if I can't sync my calendar to my phone, that's just not going to work.

I'm using Entourage 12.1.7 on Mac OS X 10.5.7.

If anyone can give me a heads up on how to address these issues, I'd
appreciate it.

Sync services with Entourage has a lot of problems and if you scan the
forum you'll see what I mean. I finally gave up on Entourage a couple
of months ago as Microsoft has no time frame on a fix and I was
wasting a ton of time, loosing data, corrupting data etc. I went to
the Apple apps and Markspace's Notebook and although it was real
painful at first its fine now and it sync's perfectly which is what
is critical to me. For more advanced functionality I also use SOHO
Notes and circusponies Notebook so this combination works well for me.
I definitely miss the linkiing and categorizing but I just couldn't
waste any more time with Entourage. If they ever fix this I'll go
back but I'm going to have to feel very confident its fixed. Microsoft
has let lots of us down.
