Entourage to continue?

Still new to the Mac world, I had just downloaded the Office 2008 Trial
and after a few days really liked Entourage but, seeing an article about
the change from Entourage to Outlook for the next version of Office for
Macs, I didn't want to get really into an e-mail program I was going to
have to change. As I don't like Outlook I'm wondering if, possibly
Entourage will continue to be offered in the cheaper (Student edition?)
version of Office 2010?

Thanks,
Tim

PS I've also noted as I browsed through 500 messages on this group a
lot of talk referring to Exchange. Everything else appeared to relate
to the same kind of things in "regular" mail accounts. Can/will someone
clue me in on the difference between an "exchange" account and a
non-exchange one? thanks again.

Hi Tim,

Entourage will be replaced by Outlook for Mac in the next version of
Office. Microsoft have not yet announced how many editions there are
going to be, nor have they announced which applications each edition is
going to contain, but it is a fairly safe bet that Entourage will be
removed for good. In other words, you won't see Entourage in any edition
of Office 2011 for Mac.

An Exchange account is an email account on an Exchange server. This
particular type of account includes more functionality than regular POP
or IMAP accounts, such as an online address book and calendar.
