Entourage unexpectedly quits

Out of the blue, after running flawlessly for months Entourage X
unexpectedly quits when I click "Send/Receive".
I tossed the Pref file to no avail.
What do I do next,

You could try scheduling send/receive functions. I did this before with
version 10, and it worked ok. You should also update to 10.1.4.

With the test drive of Entourage 04, the problem seems to have disappeared.
You might want to consider trying it on a trial basis, and upgrading if it's
worth it to you. A Student/Teacher version is available for only $129 at
Amazon.

Recently, malformed junk mail has exploited a bug in Entourage's Junk Mail
Filter that causes the entire program to crash when Entourage attempts to
download and process the message. Microsoft has posted a fix at their web
site:

This a comment from David Cortright [MS] on this issue:
"I'm certain the bug will be fixed in Office 2004."

If you are crashing on receiving mail, it could be due to a corrupt message
on the server. Work through the steps on the "Crashes" page on The
Entourage Help Page.
