Entourage Version 10.0.0

My Inbox has started to show a gap in the mail list. It also says I have one unread message but I cant find it. Perhaps its in the gap. If i click on the gap or indeed put cursor over this gap entourage crashes and i get "this action could not be completed Mail Error"Previously there have been messages to the effect that an unknown error has occurred The system then crashes. Though I can send and receive emails using entourage the crashes are discouraging and if they go on i will revert to Mai to see if that does any good.
One possible clue is that this follows frustrating attempts to upload web pages to a site made available by my ISP Talktlak.net. This has proved to be totally impossible. Possibly because I am using an Apple Mac G5 running on 10.4. Up to that point Entourage had worked perfectly.
Any suggestions gratefully received

Hi Colin,

first of all, make sure you download the 10.1.9 update from Mactopia; Office
v.X is already growing a little long in the tooth, and if it has never been
updated, you are basically running a version of Office that was designed for
Mac OS X 10.0-10.1; in other words, an operating system that's over seven
years old now and has seen some significant rewrites all the way up to your
current OS.

If the update does not fix the problem, quit Entourage, then launch it again
while holding down the Option (alt) key; rebuild your database when you are
prompted.

Thank you Michel. Have updated to 10.1.9. It still needed the Entourage re launch. That appears to have restored normality.
Now all I have to do is find someone as helpful who can solve my upload problem.
Will consider upgrading further.
