Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop
I am scripting the generation of emails (with a PDF attachment) in Entourage using the Send Mail command in FileMaker Pro.
This all works fine using Entourage version 12.0.0, and I have never struck any issues with it before (both with different versions of entourage and different clients).
However my client is having difficulties. The email and attachment generate and view perfectly, however the recipient of the email once sent either can't open the PDF document, or it displays as a series of dots once opened. A second person in the same office can generate and send the emails from her machine and they can be opened and viewed by the same recipient without any issues. The only difference between these two users that I can ascertain is the version of entourage - the one that is failing is using version 11.4.0, and the one that is working fine is 11.0.0.
Are there any known issues with version 11.4.0 and the Send Mail command that could be causing this (when she manually attaches a PDF to an email it is received fine)? Perhaps a document extension problem? Any ideas anyone?
Thanks!
