Entourage wanting identity folder deleted.

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel ok, so I have a database error for excel, word and powerpoint saying that I may have an error. I run the db util. and it wont do anything. entourage won't even load. it saying that I do not have read write permissons to the identity folder and to delete it. So I did but nothing changed.

Move the entire Microsoft User Data folder to the desktop. When you open any Office application, it will create a new Microsoft User Data folder. If you still have permissions problems, then your User’s folder needs permissions reset.

Open Disk Utility and run Repair Permissions.

Using Get Info allows you to see permissions. If you want to compare to correct settings, create a new User account in System Preferences and compare the settings there to the ones in your User’s folder.
