Entourage Web Services Hanging

Has anyone else experienced prolonged periods where Entourage WSE hangs and the beachball spins. It seems like it corrects itself if you wait 2-5 minutes, but it also seems like that shouldn't be happening.

When I check Activity Monitor, there seems to be aggressive disk usage during those periods, but I can't figure out what it's doing. I looked at the logging feature, but that was already turned off.

I've never had that.

I've only ever seen things like that with a corrupted identity (launch
Entourage pressing the Option key down ot rebuild) or extensive
SyncServices issues. Are you using SyncServices?

It seems like there were a handful of Calendar Events that were throwing errors since i switched to the Web Services Edition. I popped open the Error Log console and found all the offending appointments. After deleting them from my calendar, the issue seems to have stopped.
