I have this weird problem with Entourage 2008... sometimes html emails come through with the html all messed up (looks like hieroglyphics) - and usually the hyperlinks are missing altogether. It only happens with pop3 emails coming into Entourage... the same pop3 mails coming into Mail (ie. mac mail), as well as windows live mail work fine. The formatting is also ok if receiving gmail or hotmail within Entourage.
Therefore my logical assumption is that it is not a problem on the specific pop3 server (as the problem does not happen in other mail clients) but it is also not a problem in all of Entourage (as gmail/hotmail in Entourage works fine). It's also not something pop3 specific as gmail works fine.
It's the combination of mail received into Entourage for that pop3 account. Some html mails come through fine (eg plaxo updates are html and they are ok)... it's almost as if the weirdly formatted ones are considered to be junk email but they are not marked as junk (and they definitely are not junk)
Any ideas for other things to try?
