Entourage will not load - error message

When i try to open Entourage i get an error saying it has encountered a problem and needs to close. i have tried a range of troubleshooting from the web, but still wont work. i have listed the full error description below. PLEASE HELP!!!

try switching to a new system user account (a different login).

If the problem persists there, you will need to reinstall office, but be
sure to use the 'Remove Office' utility to remove the corrupt version first.

I have exactly the same problem. I tried updating the software, I tried another profile, nothing works.

Can you tell me what caused this? I am asking because I have to have the techies at my office reinstall the software, which is a big hunkin deal, an I don't want it to happen again.

It's never a good idea to add onto another thread. You gave no info on your
setup. What version of Entourage? What version OS?

When you say profile, exactly what do you mean? A new Identity in Entourage
or a new User in System Preferences????

What is the exact error message?

Have you restarted your computer?

FWIW, re-installing rarely fixes problems like this.
