This is a truly app killing bug. After my computer has been running for
more than one day (with or without Entourage 2008 12.1.0 running), Entourage
event reminders simply stop working until I log out of my computer and log
in again. I organize my whole life using Entourage events and reminders,
and now it doesn't work anymore!?!?
I have rebuilt the database, repaired permissions, run DiskWarrior, and even
prayed over it (though I'm agnostic) -- to no avail.
I can run my 10.5.2 iMac for months before having to restart, but Entourage
now forces me to restart every day! Unfreakinbelievable.
I have always thought Microsoft is run by hacks, but I'm now so disgusted
that I'm seriously considering changing to all Apple apps like Mail, iCal,
Pages, etc. because I have had nothing but problems with Office 2008
(especially Entourage) for the past 4 months. It's truly a piece of crap.
For goodness sake, even Symantec finally figured out how to build software
for the Mac that isn't bug-ridden or resource hogging, but not the biggest
software company in the world with nearly 20 years of experience writing
apps for Macs!
2.16 GHz Intel iMac running 10.5.2.
