Entourage won't launch

I have used Outlook and Entourage for years and have never seen a
problem like this. Entourage (Office 2004) won't launch and I get a
message saying "Microsoft Error Reporting". It doesn't tell me what
the problem is but it lets me click a button that gives me a huge
error report that I don't understand. In the mean time, nothing I do
will make Entourage launch. I repaired the disk and file permissions
using Disk Utility. I tried launching Entourage with the with the
Option key down. nothing works and I am cut off from my email and
calendar. How can I launch Entourage?

What happens when you hold Shift key down when trying to launch Entourage?
