entourage wont open

my entourage won't open, (either will the whole of my office2004)

i was doing a update on office2004 when a error msg came up half way
through. Since then, when i click the entourage icon on the dock a
question mark appears and it wont open.

I can't find the entourage program file in my applications folder
either.

should i do a reinstall of office? and if i do will i lose all my
data in entourage, Like my calander data, my notes and my emails?

can anyone help??

Your data should be unaffected, but I fear you'll have to reinstall
Office and re-run the 11.5 update :-(

i was doing a update on office2004 when a error msg came up half way

In most cases, when installation of an update fails part-way through, with
the installer either quitting unexpectedly in the accompaniment of an error
message or exhibiting an indefinite hang necessitating a force-quit, the
result is all or some of the Microsoft Office applications are completely
missing.

The only remedy is to re-install Office from your CD and update. FWIW, this
is not a MS specific problem. It can happen with any update process.

Tip: I suggest stuffing the Office folder prior to updating in case of
problems. Easy to revert to previous install.

Also when installing, log out/in with Shift key down to disable all running
applications. Restart after updating.
