Entourage X Conduit crashes during sync w/Panther

S

Steven Kan

Attempting to sync a Palm Vx to an iBook 600 running 10.3 and
Entourage X via a Keyspan USA19 serial adapter.

No matter what I try, Conduit Manager always crashes part-way through
the Entourage Conduit sync. I tried syncing to a profile w/o the
Entourage Conduit, and it worked fine, so I don't think it's hardware.

I've already tried:

1) Re-installing the latest Keyspan driver, the Palm Desktop app and
the Entourage conduit, in that order

2) Changing the connection speed all the way down to 19,200

3) Syncing w/ or w/o Entourage running

4) Basic _and_ advanced rebuild of Entourage database

5) Hard reset of the Palm.

In case anyone here is capable of reading a crash dump, here it is:

http://www.kan.org/misc/ConduitManagerCrash.rtf

The last event in the crashing thread was a CFRelease after a bunch of
Parse-type calls.

Any other things to try? Thanks!

p.s. it used to work under Jag, although we hadn't synced it in quite
a while before we upgraded to Panther.

Bump?
