Entourage

I just installed Office 2004 for Mac. When I launch Entourage it
immediately gets hung up, the rainbow circle keeps spinning around but
nothing ever happens. When I click on Force Quit in Finder, Entourage
is highlighted as not responding. This problem began when I was using
the trial version which I uninstalled before installing the purchased
version and the problem has continued. I have uninstalled and then
reinstalled the software but the problem has not gone away. I do see
the emails that I received before this problem started but no new ones
are imported, I can't do anything when the program opens.

Removing the test drive has been a nightmare for many users. You don't
mention how you removed it, but it requires you to use "Remove Office" to
get rid of the test drive version. So once you get the test drive removed
you should be able to install Office from the CD then update.

It's also possible that you have been bitten by an OS update bug that
affected Office causing these symptoms so you have a second problem to
address.

Apple has posted KB 306043 Mac OS X: Some applications may not open after
QuickTime 7.2 Update with directions on dealing with issues resulting from
the latest QT 7.2 update.

iTunes 7.3.1 and Quicktime 7.2 Updaters cause problems for Office on 7/12,
