Envelope Default Reset Problem

In Word 2000...

In the Envelope & Label dialog, I keep changing the default Font & Font Size to my own preference (for envelopes); & it keeps resetting back to the old settings the next time I open the app.

What gives?

Also...how can I rid myself of the Office Assistant. I hide him (it...whatever) every time it pops up, but the next time I open a blank document & begin typing...here it comes again.

The envelope address is really a style. To make a permanent change you need
to change the envelope address style and save it to the template.

Find the actors folder in Program Files, Microsoft Office, Office 9 and
rename it Bad Actors (or some prefer Ham Actors). That will permanently
dismiss the Assistant.
