Envelope Feeder on Printer not automatically recognized

Using Word 2003, my user has selected a printer that has an envelope feeder.
The user will need to print an envelope and they will select Tools/Letters
and Mailing and print the envelope but Word does not recognize the envelope
feeder and they must manually feed the envelope. When the user goes to the
Options button in Tools/Letters and Mailing envelope tab Word defaults to
"Automatically Select" when it should default to "Automatically Select
(Default Tray)". The user can manually change it to "Automatically Select
(Default Tray)" and the envelope prints fine by itself to the envelope feeder
on the printer. However, the option changes back to "Automaticaly Select"
and the user must change this each and every time they want to print an
envelope! They are not choosing the reset button either.

Help for a very frustrated user!

Hi Graham,

Thanks for your input but I do not want to have to create a macro to do
something that Word normally does by itself. This is an isolated problem. I
do not have this issue at any other client site when using the same
printers/envelope feeders. This is only at this site.
