Envelope in systray to notify on new email Outlook 2000

I have a user that has lost his envelope icon in the systray that shows when
he receives new messages in his email. Where would I turn that back on? He
said that he lost it about a week ago, i.e. it stopped showing up. Thanks in
advance for the help.

You can look in two places.
1. In WinXP, right click your taskbar and select Properties, Taskbar tab,
customize button. You might see the enlvelope there and you can ALWAYS SHOW,
ALWAYS HIDE, etc.
2. Outlook>Tools>Options>Preferences tab, Email options button, Advanced
email options button, ...in the middle of that box you'll see "show
envelope...'

I see that in Outlook 2003, but he is running outlook 2000. For some reason
the envelope is not showing up anymore.
