Envelope print problem

P

Peter Moogk

Word XP will no longer print envelopes correctly. This happened suddenly a
few days ago.
When the envelope is added to the document, the return address is in the
wrong place and print preview shows a partial or empty envelope.
This seems to be a margin problem but it only happens with the envelope, not
with a regular Word document.
I have tried self repair - it did no good.
I eventually uninstalled Office and deleted any folders or files that were
left behind (the ones I could find).
I reinstalled to a different drive and the problem is still there.
Where is the culprit and what can I do about it.
(I am running ME.)

Hi Peter,

Can you be a bit more specific about what you're seeing? Wrong place...
where? And what do you mean by "partial or empty envelope"? Which envelope
size?

If you click in the Return Address, do you see a slash-line border appear?

Have you tried changing the "Options" when setting up the envelope?

Thanks Cindy.

By wrong place I mean lower than it should be - perhaps a third of the way
down the envelope (depends on envelope size) and the margin is shown at the
position of the return address.

If I then look at print preview, I may see the same thing I see in the
document or something different altogether. For example, sometimes the
return address will be missing and the left side of the addressee will be
missing. Sometimes print preview will show a blank envelope. If I print the
envelope, I get exactly what print preview predicts.
Envelope size doesn't matter, although size 10 usually prints correctly.

Yes, the slash-line border is there.

Yes, I change the "options" regularly.

2002) is as follows:
