Envelope Printing

B

Byron O'Neal

Windows XP Pro w/sp2
MS Word 2003
hp deskjet 5650

When I attempt to print No 10 Envelopes using Word, I get a "Paper Size
Error. Paper size is larger than paper in tray."

The printer then stops printing. If I push the flashing button on the
printer, it prints fine but only prints one envelope.

I don't believe it is a printer driver problem, because I can print multiple
envelopes (using the same settings) with no problem using MS Access.

Thanks for any and all assistance

I guess if I read the entire post I would know huh? I also have a 5650 and
here is the procedure. Before you try to print, open the print properties
dialog box and select nr 10 envelope. Most likely the default is for 8.5 x
11 plain paper. When you are done printing be sure to select the 8.5 x 11
paper again. You have to do this each time you want to print an envelope.
Hope this helps.

Mike,
The response I received from HP follows:
1. In MS Word, select Tools from the menu bar.

2. Click Envelopes and Labels.

3. Click the Envelope tab and Options.

4. Set the Envelope Size to Size 10.

5. Click OK.

6. Click the Feed icon in the lower-right corner.

7. Select Face Down.

8. For your deskjet 5650 printer, remove the Check mark by Clockwise

Rotation.

9. Under Feed Method, choose the fourth envelope from the left.

10. Click OK.

11. Type the addresses for the envelope.

12. Click Print.

Number 8 corrected the problem. After un-checking that box, it works fine.
I can print multiple envelopes and the merge from MS Access works great.
