envelope settings

How do I make the Envelopes & Labels settings stick in Word 2000?
I set the options for spacing from left and top of the envelope and print OK
but the next time I go to use them they have gone back to default.

I can't see any way to make the settings I choose into a default or even to
save them somehow.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi Geoff,

The envelope position is controlled by the Envelope Address or
Envelope Return style depending on which address position you are
adjusting. Once you have made your modifications and added the
envelope to the document then:

- Go to Format/Style
- Select the "Envelope Address" or "Envelope Return" style
- Click 'Modify'
- Turn on "Add to Template" to add the style to your Normal.dot.
