Envelope sizes and fonts appear to be doubled

Trying to print envelopes (DL) on a Lexmark E220 with Word 2003 it prints out
as if its a full A4 or letter size envelope with fonts much bigger than what
I select.
I have previously been able to print on the same setup without any problem.
I've re-loaded the printer drivers to no avail. What has gone wrong?

We have had previous reports of strange anomalies when printing envelopes to
the Lexmark printer. Make sure that the Envelope Address Style has
definitely been modified and that the change has stuck after restarting
Word. If the Envelope Address style is OK, then check to see if Lexmark has
updated the printer driver.

The envelope size is all that remains constant after re-opening Word. The
font sizes and position of the address and return address revert to their
defaults. How do you save custom settings for these?

I'll try Lexmark for some updated drivers, although I just tried it from
another computer running Office 2007 and the envelope printed normally.

They are all settings in the ENVELOPE ADDRESS and RETURN ADDRESS styles. You
need to change the styles and save them for these settings to stick.

However, like many other users, I find the Envelope (and labels) wizard is a
pain to use. So I create my own custom templates for the two normal envelope
sizes I use (and for around 4 labels sizes I use). I can then quickly select
them from the File | New dialog. Fellow MVP Graham Mayor has an excellent
FAQ on envelopes at http://www.gmayor.com/changing_envelope_layout.htm in
addition to some envelope templates you can download.
