Well, the "simple" solution is to go to Page Setup and change nothing, just
OK out. If you get a message that one or more of your margins is outside the
printable area, Word will offer to fix them. Accept the offer. If the
margins suggested are ridiculous (2.67", for example), just Cancel the
dialog. If you don't get an error message from Page Setup, then the message
you're getting at print time is spurious, and the envelope will probably
print properly. It's a nuisance, and various theories as to its cause and
workarounds for its solution have been proposed. Presumably a Google search
would turn these up.
Note that if you've changed printers (or printer drivers) since you
originally set up the envelope, it could be that the new printer has a
larger unprintable area and the message is actually correct.
Also, if you're creating an envelope through Tools | Envelopes and Labels,
Page Setup is not directly accessible, but you can set the distance from
left and top using the Envelope Options.
