EPK Plugin

Has anyone dealt with the plug in called "EPK" and if so what are your
thoughts regarding the plug in? I started consulting for a company that uses
EPK within Project Server and it seems to be not setup correctly. Just
currious if anyone else in PRoject Server land has used this product
successfully for entering time into timessheets.

Hi Rob,

We have been deploying EPK to some of our customers. EPK is a very good
addition to Project Server. It fills the gaps that Project Server 2003 has
like Timesheet, workflow and Portfolio Managment. Further to this it offers
great views and reports on your overall portfolio, program and project with
great features like printable gannt chart from the Web etc.

I would suggest visting their site to gather more info. As with Project
Server, EPK is not just a technical deployment. You will need to plan for
your rollout from a Business Point of View. If you had no exposure to EPK it
may makes sense to get some external help. I know that EPK have some very
good consultants that can help you rolling out EPK on Project Server
correctly.
I hope htis helps

Thxs Marc, but the program is already deployed and its the first time ive
seen the program. Getting alot of complaints from PM's regarding progressor
and how its used along with the program locking up at the timesheet area.
I'll see what I can dig up on the site looks like it wasn't setup properly
if MSP is any indication.

EPK is having a big users conference in January 2007. I know this does not
help your immediate need, but we both know that being successful with
technology is not all about what you know as much as who you know that can
help you fix it.

If it is any consolation, I have been working with Project Server since it
was in beta for 2002. This is my first postion, a Fortune 500 company, where
I walked into an EPK installation on Project Server. So, I too am learning.

It sounds like we are in a similar situation. Mine requires a complete
redesign and requirement assessment.
