EPM 2007: Project summary task option in Enterprise global greyed

Can someone explain to me how I can set the option so that everytime that a
user creates a new project automatically the Project summary task is
displayed?

I tried to open the enterprise global template but the Project summary task
option in Enterprise global is greyed out.

Why does this not get displayed when you change the Global template with the
show summary task option? I seem to be seeing none of the changes I make in
the Global Template show in my blank project screen. WHY???

The Enterprise Global file does not work the way you assume. It is not the
location from which you can change Microsoft Project user settings for
everyone. This is where your assumption is in error.

Instead, the Enterprise Global file is your organization's "library" of
custom enterprise objects such as Views, Tables, Filters, Groups, etc.
Therefore, if you need everyone to display the Project Summary Task in every
new blank project, you must make this a training and performance issue with
your PMs. In addition to this, if you have saved an enterprise project
templates in your Project Server system, make sure that you did display the
Project Summary Task in each template. Hope this helps.
