EPM 2007 Virtual Server Image - too slow

I have the above image working fine on my desktop which has 2Gb RAM, but
having upgraded my laptop to 2Gb RAM another copy of the image is running too
slow to be of any use. The differences between the two machines are that
the
desktop is using Windows XP and VPC 2004; the laptop is using Windows Vista
Business and VPC 2007. Am I right in assuming that Windows Vista Business is
RAM hungry and I ought to downgrade back to XP to get the Virtual Server to
run better?

its very odd, Im running the virtual server with 1350 MB RAM and my cpu is
1.87 GHz...I have the home page of PWA displayed on the demo..but when i drag
the mouse..the cursor is moving really slowly, to the point that I can't use
the demo properly.

when you say close some services do you mean eg the listed processes running
when I look at the Task Manager as Im not really sure which ones to close

Steve:

That sounds like a pointing device issue. You may need to use a different
device and you may need to install different drivers in the Image. I know
that I must use an external mouse with the VPC as the VPC does not like the
built-in pointer.

To confirm Gary's sage advice, I have had terribly problems using the
touchpad with the VPC as well. With the mouse, all works well.
