EPM Certification Complete Information

Dear Microsoft MVP's ,

I am working in IT company as an EPM Engineer from 3 years.

I have an experience of epm 2003 . and from initial to total implementation
and administration . I am independent worker of this.

I have few questions :

(1) May I clear the certification of EPM 2007 instead of EPM 2003.

(2) How many certification papers in the EPM 2007 OR 2003.

(3) which one need to pass first means series of EPM certifications.

(4) tell me the all certifications of EPM 2003 and EPM 2007.

(5) which paper of epm will make me MVP or MCP.

(6) and tell me the microsoft books corresponding to all certifications
which help me to prepare EPM certifications.

(7) and tell me the resources which help me to pass the certifications of EPM.

I have checked microsoft sites for certifications of EPM but i am confuse I
dont know which one need first.

Well, I am not an MVP, but I can answer most of this (Answers in CAPS):

ASSUMING YOU KNOW MOST OF THE NEW FUNCTIONALITY OF 2007, AND ARE COMFORTABLE
W/ PROJECT MANAGEMENT USING EPM03.

(2) How many certification papers in the EPM 2007 OR 2003.

THERE WERE TWO MSFT CERTS FOR 03, ONE FOR THE TECHNICAL SET UP, WHICH MAPPED
TO THE MSFT CURRICULUM #2732, AND ONE FOR GATHERING REQUIREMENTS, WHICH MAPPED
TO THE EPMU SESSION #2 (I THINK). I NEVER SAW MUCH INDUSTRY SUPPORT FOR
EITHER OF THOSE AND DON'T THINK THEY'RE WORTH MUCH. ON THE DESKTOP LEVEL,
IIL OFFERED A SERIES OF BELTS (WHITE, ORANGE, BLACK) WHICH DEMONSTRATED COMPETENCY
IN USING THE DESKTOP AND SERVER APPLICATIONS.

EPM 07 HAS THREE EXAMS CURRENTLY:

70-632 - DESKTOP
70-633 - PWA
70-634 - EPM SOLUTION

PASSING ALL THREE (I BELIEVE) GETS YOU AN MCP DESIGNATION (ACTUALLY I THINK
IT'S AN MCTP, OR SOMETHING LIKE IT). THE FIRST TWO GET YOU AN MCTS DESIGNATION.
I AM NOT SURE WHAT YOU WOULD GET FOR JUST THE 70-634 (NOR WHY ANYONE WOULD
JUST TAKE THAT ONE)

(3) which one need to pass first means series of EPM certifications.

632/3/4 IS A LOGICAL PROGRESSION, BUT I AM SURE YOU CAN TAKE THEM IN ANY
ORDER.

(4) tell me the all certifications of EPM 2003 and EPM 2007.

COVERED IN #2

(5) which paper of epm will make me MVP or MCP.

COVERED IN #2. NO EXAM WILL MAKE YOU AN MVP - ONLY ACTIVE PARTICIPATION
IN THE PROJECT COMMUNITY.

(6) and tell me the microsoft books corresponding to all
certifications which help me to prepare EPM certifications.

FOR THE 03 EXAMS, EPMU AND MICROSOFT OFFICIAL CURRICULUM #2732
FOR THE 07 EXAMS, DON'T THINK MICROSOFT HAS ANY BOOKS OUT YET. MS PROJECT
EXPERTS HAS THE "ULTIMATE LEARNING GUIDE TO MS PROJECT 2007" WHICH SHOULD
GET YOU PAST THE 70-632 EXAM. I AM SURE OTHER BOOKS FROM THEM AND OTHERS
WILL BE OUT IN THE NEXT 2-3 MONTHS.

(7) and tell me the resources which help me to pass the certifications
of EPM.

MSFT PARTNERS (AND MAYBE CUSTOMERS) CAN AVAIL THEMSELVES OF THE NEW EPMU
OFFERINGS FOR 2007. THEY'RE BEING OFFERED ONLINE. VARIOUS OTHER TRAINING
PROVIDERS HAVE ALREADY BEGUN OFFERING LIVE AND VIRTUAL CLASSES ON THE EPM07
ENVIRONMENT.

I have checked microsoft sites for certifications of EPM but i am
