Hi friends

I want to know what should be the recommended system configuration for running EPM on SBS 2003 Premium ? SInce SBS already has Exchange, SQL etc onthe same box, and if I put EPM as well on that box, I would like to know what hardware configuration I should use keeping in mind the performance of the server

Please advice

Hi,

As you pointed out SBS is and can only be installed on one box. You can of
course install Project Server as well, but expect to heavily over-load the
server if you have many projects and users.

2GB+ memory and multiple hard drives (for performance as well as
reliability) would be a good start!

As such, there is no recommended configuration.

For any version of Project use public.project
For any version of Project Server use public. project.server

Depends on the size of your box - For a very small workgroup, you can get
away with it.

I read somewhere that one of the EPM components should not be run on a
machine which also acts as a network domain controller -- and SBS is by
default acts as a domain controller. I can't provide a specific
reference to where that is documented, but I thought I would mention it
anyway.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
