EPM SERVER Resource Pool and Rights - Repost to SERVER Group

I seem to be having an issue with giving a user access rights to check-out
and edit a project file from the SERVER.

I've added him as a valid user under the PWA ADMIN manage users interface,
and provide 'project manager' rights, which should provide necessary
privledges.

The users can see projects on the server, but is unable to check-out and/or
edit.

Does the user need to be a member of the Resource Pool in order for this to
work? The reason I didn't add him in the first place is that he is outside
our immediate group, and hence I had planned to treat him as a LOCAL to a
project.

Dale,
The user doe sindeed have MS Pro, however I just learned that his version
is 2002?

The account had already been setup, as prescribed.

Could it be a version disconnect?

I'm not sure that the user's version is the source of the problem, but it
makes me suspicious. I believe you should definitely uninstall Project 2002
and install Project 2003 with SP2 and see if this resolves the problem. Let
us know if this helps.
