EPS conversion

Hi all...

I have an .eps graphic of the new logo for the organization I work with, and
I need to be able to open it to resize it, but, so far, nothing has opened
it.

I have tried with PPT, and with CorelDraw PhotoPaint, thus far. What type
of program do I need to open this so I can work with it? I need to replace
the old one in the presentation slide show I created for them in May for an
upcoming Tech show next month.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions on this, and if I need a special
program I can save time messing with the ones I have.

Hi Jan,

EPS works for printed slides only, it shows only the (normally bad) preview
image in slide show view. Depends on the format you want to convert them to:

- Use Adobe PhotoShop to save them as a bitmap image, e.g. PNG. Results are
better, if you don't use "Save as" but "Export for Web" and choose PNG-24
there (make sure, "Keep transparency" is set).
- Use Adobe Illustrator to get a vector format. But dont save as WMF/EMF in
Illustrator (curves will get angular instead of round), use copy&paste to
bring the image into PPT, then use "Save image as ..." there.

Kind regards,
Ute

Hi Echo :)
See if Irfanview (free download) will do it, Jan.

That seems to work ok. I never use those things, but, some people like to
be funny....

Thanks for your time and help. :)

Yes, and as Ute mentioned, you'll probably want to convert the EPS to
something else. (I usally lean toward PNG.) You should be able to do a Save
As in Irfanview to convert.
Thanks for your time and help. :)

Always welcome!
