EPS graphic don't show up after inserting into Word

Hi,

I save pdf files as eps files and import them into Word.
But after the files are imported into Word, the graphic
doesn't show. When I click on the page I get a square box
which lets me resize and edit my graphic. Because of this
I know that the eps files are imported but just somehow
don't show. I have checked the "Picture Holder" box to
make sure it is clear and that Word is not just showing
the place holder of the graphic. I'm using Word 2003.
Anyone have any idea as to how to resolve this?

Thanks!

Hi Mabel,

While Microsoft did apparently add a Level 2 PostScript interpreter to
recent versions of Word for rendering EPS graphics, apparently it
hasn't made it into yours. The situation is not very clear. That, or
your EPS is one that the filter can't handle. Apparently, your EPS
file doesn't have a bitmap preview either, as Word should at least
render that for on-screen viewing when available.

If your need for bringing PDF/EPS graphics into Word is ongoing, you
could consider a copy of our file conversion software, The Graphics
Connection. It lets you batch convert PDF and EPS files to Windows
Metafiles (WMF or EMF), vector formats that are natively supported by
Word. This means that you can scale and edit the drawings in Word.
Vectors, images and text are all supported and preserved as such.

More info at the URL below. For a quick test, you can send me a couple
of PDF/EPS files via email.

Try clearing the field code box as it also worked for me importing an excel
file.
