Have you considered installing a postscript printer driver and then printing
to file? I've found that sometimes when I need PS/EPS output from a product
(not necessarily visio) that this sometimes will work. It sometimes takes a
little experimentation to find which printer vendor drivers I need to use.

Hi Al,

Thank you for the reply. I don't know how to install such a driver, but I
would consider doing it if told.

More importantly, however, it would be a whole lot better if Visio simply
continued to support the EPS format. As it is, even you note that using a
postscript printer driver and then printing to file may or may not work.

The fact is that by dropping the EPS format, my work with LaTex would become
much more cumbersome.

I was defintely going to buy Visio, but now I think that I should stay put
with Corel Draw.
