Equation Editor fonts

Hello group,

I'm running Word 2000, in combination with Equation Editor 3.0.
Lately, when defining a new style (Style menu > Define...), I can't
select any font anymore. For instance, the "LC Greek" field is set to
"Arial", and the drop-down box doesn't give me any choice besides
Arial. Of course, this _should_ be Symbol, but it doesn't give that
option. The same situation goes for all other fields, there is just
one font selected (Arial / Symbol / MS Serif) with no other options
available.

I've already checked the printer drivers, they're TTF-compatible
(Laserjet 4100) and all fonts are available in Word itself.

Is this a familiar problem? How can I solve it?

Thanks,
Wald

Okay, got the solution...

It seems that a reboot of my computer solves the problem at hand.
Yes, I'm running Windows 98.

I have to admit: there is not _one_ operating system that has _one_
generic solution (reboot) as an answer to soooooooooooooooooooo many
inexplicable system errors.
