Equation editor problem - won't load

I just installed Office v.X. When I try to use the
equation editor, I get an error message indicating that
Word can't find it. If I load the Equation Editor
application before loading Word, it works fine. That is,
if Equation Editor is alive in memory, Word finds it, but
Word doesn't know where it is on the disk.

How can I fix this? Is there a way to tell Work where to
look? Or perhaps I could move Equation Editor to another
folder.

Hi

Try running the 10.1.2 update followed by the 10.1.4 update. That should
reset everything. Additionally, run Disk Utility First Aid and repair
permissions.
