Equation Editor - Problems

R

R

I have a user that uses equation editor quite frequently. Today, the
brackets & a number of mathematical operators will no longer show up. If I
log into her machine with my ID, it works fine.

I've done everything I can think of including uninstalling the entire Office
2003 suite, rebooting and then reinstalling.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might get this back??

thanks in advance

Hi R,

You're in the wrong forum (this is the programming community). However,
I'll try to help you out. It sounds like the user's normal template is
corrupt. Try blowing out the user's normal template (located in C:\Documents
and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates).

Exit Word first.

You will also need to have the network administrator blow out the user's
profiled normal template.

Have the user go back into Word, and a new normal template will be created
automatically.

If that doesn't work, please try the Word General Questions forum instead.

While in the Equation Editor, look at Styles > Define and verify that
the UC Greek, LC Greek, and Symbol items are set to use the Symbol
font.
