I've used microsoft equation editor too insert a math formula into
powerpoint 2004 (mac version).

I'ld like to change the fontcolor into yellow, but can't find out how to do
this.

How do you change the fontcolor of a microsoft equation editor formula?

Word does not allow you to change the font color of Equation
Editor objects. One workaround is to create the Equation Editor
object in Powerpoint, which does let you change the font color,
and then copy and Paste Special as a Picture into Word. But the
picture will not be an editable equation in Word, so be sure to
save the Powerpoint file in case you need to modify the equation,
and then copy and paste special again into Word.

In PowerPoint on the PC, you can use the "recolor" option on the Picture
toolbar. Select the equation, then hit the "recolor" icon.

I don't know if this will work on a Mac or not, but it's worth trying.

You might want to post this question in the Mac PPT newsgroup.
