Equation

When I insert an equation in a text document and then print the document
there is a BLANK space where the equation was. If I put three line spaces
before and after the equation then it prints OK. I can't live with the
extral ines in my text.

I don't know the answer but what if you make the three lines extra small,
say one pixel high? It is also possible that the problem lies with your
printer driver. You could print to PDF or Microsoft XPS Document Writer and
see what it looks like. This sounds like a question for one of the Word
groups.
