Hi Urban,
The easiest thing to do is insert a borderless (Ctrl+Alt+U after inserting
table) two column one row table into a document, minimise the width of the
right column so that it is just wide enought to hold the equation numbers
and maximise the width of the left column. Select centre alignment for the
text in the left column and in it, create a simple equation say 1 = 1. In
the right hand column, insert a Caption for the Equation, placing a check
mark in the "Exclude label from caption" control in the Insert Caption
dialog. Now select that table and create an autotext entry of it. Then
whenever you want to insert an equation, insert that autotext entry and edit
the equation to be what you require. The caption actually being a { SEQ
Equation \* ARABIC } field will take car of the numbering and you will be
able to cross reference the number of an equation via the Insert>Cross
reference dialog.
Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.
Hope this helps
