When I make a document in word and add equations, everything is fine. If I
get a document that has equations in it, I have to double click on every
equation then click outside the equation for it to get fixed. I had MathType
5 and this started to happen after I installed it (I used to have to double
click it, the equation would open in a new window, I click ctrl-s (save) then
close the MathType window for it to get fixed), so I uninstalled it, thinking
it would work. Unfortunately, the same wierd characters appear. For example
the + sign appears as a white zap in a black box (???), = appears as a bullet
point in the middle of the equation (???!!). I am a student and I have a
Maths exam soon, and my teacher gave us notes and past papers with their
markschems, so there are too many equations, and this method of "fixing"
equations makes it take at least 15 minutes to correct one past paper only...
I have seven past papers and its also very annoying.
