Erase Border tool does not activate

Sean

MS Excel 2002 - SP2

Erase Border icon does not "activate" to be used in
erasing borders of cells.

Sheet/workbook is not protected.

Using latest rev.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Assume you are referring to the Borders Toolbar. Or do you have the Erase
Borders button on another Toolbar?

Try Tools>Customize>Toolbars. Select "Borders" TB and Reset.

Alternate......Tools>Customize>Commands>Format. Drag the Erase Borders button
to a Toolbar. Does it work from there?

Thanks Gord.

You just help uncover a bug.

Originally I did the "Tools>Customize>Commands>Format.
Drag the Erase Borders button to a Toolbar." That Erase
Border icon does not activate.

However, when I "turn on" the Borders Toolbar, the exact
same Erase Borders icon works.

When I select the icon, both buttons highlight - weird.

Thanks.
