Erasing Recent Documents History on Excel

There are files i worked on which i already deleted and trashed yet the
history of the document titles still show up on the Recent Documents, on
Excel. How do i erase the History of Recent Documents worked on Excel? I'm
trying to keep my work private since i share a computer.

In XL2003 Go to >Tools>Options>General Tab> You should see Recently used file
list :
plus a window for you to select the number of entries, change that to 0 or to
your choice.

Adding saving a d deleting files is handled by your operrating system. XL has
no hand in it other than making requests to the OS to add or save a file. So
when the file is deleted XL has no knowledge that the file is gone. If you
want to clean up the history you can go to
Tools | Optons General and uncheck Recently used file list: and select OK

Recheck it again and the list will be there again but empty.
