Err Msg that is kicked back from Exch2003

Dave Grams

From time to time people on our network are running into
this:

They will email people from a distribution list
(of say... 15 internal people)
and an Administrator message will come back for a few
of the recipients:
-------------------------
Your Message did not reach some or all of the intended
recipeints.

Subject:
Sent:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

Grams, Dave on 7/22/2004 2:07 PM
The e-mail system was unable to deliver the
message, but did not report a specific reason. Check
the address and try again. If it still fails, contact
your system administrator.The MTS-ID of the original
message is:.... blah blah

``````````````````````````````````````````````
(using my name in the example)
Then to follow, if that person would send that same email
again, or to me individually, it will go through. No
rhyme or reason.
Its not tied into attachment limits, mailbox size limits,
etc... everything checks out okay there....
It just happens. Mostly when sending an email to
multiple recipients, rather than just one.
I remember in exchange 5.5, some of the administrator
messages that came back, didnt really tell you what the
problem REALLY was either... but after learning what they
meant, I knew what to look for...
But this is something new... any ideas?
