For some reason, every time I do a "send and receive" in Outlook 2003 on
Vista, the very first time I get this message:
"Task '<email id> - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail
server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your
account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server
responded: -ERR user password must be specified' "
I have my email configured to always request a password the first time I do
a send and receive once I've pulled up outlook. When I do that, this is when
the error occurs. If I immediately do a send and receive again, it works
fine. This happens for each email account ID that I have set up, but only
the first time I do a send and receive for each account. At this point, it's
more an annoyance than anything else since all I have to do is another send
and receive, but surely there must be a way to fix this.
Thanks!
