Note that Outlook 2002 isn't fully compatible with Windows Vista and there
are known issues which won't be addressed also because Outlook 2002 is no
longer supported. You probably already ran into the issue where your
password won't be remembered when restarting Outlook.

If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable this
integration and try again.
See http://www.msoutlook.info/question/20
ISP said I need to contact microsoft.
Note that we're not Microsoft either ;-)

Roady, thanks for the info. All of the sudden after 6 hours I started
receiving emails in outlook again! I am aware that the 2002 program is not
very compatible with Vista; I use outlook for several work profiles and it
would be a nightmare to upgrade right now, but that may be what I have to do.
Anyway, I am also aware that posting here does not mean I am "contacting
microsoft". I posted here hoping for some suggestions to AVOID having the
unpleasant experience of having to do just that .... contact microsoft. I
will keep your suggestions handy should I run into any more issues before I
take the plunge and upgrade.

Thanks again!
