Error 0x80070057 with Outlook Connector, Outlook 2007, Live Hotmai

Outlook connector 12.1
Office 2007
Live Hotmail account

Whenever I do a send/receive for my (e-mail address removed) account I get the error
0x80070057 stating "Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter
values are not valid."

Not a lot of helpful information in the error message as it gives no clue as
to "what" operation could not be completed, nor "what" parameters may be
invalid. Also, I'm not sure what is really failing as my mail seems to send
/ recieve and my contacts appear to update.

I've reinstalled Outlook connector.
I've deleted my (e-mail address removed) account in Outlook and then reconfigured it.
I've set my (e-mail address removed) account to be the default account in Outlook.
When I look at the "detailed" (ummm, so much for "detailed") server
connection report in Outlook it just says the time and that sync completed
successfully.

Any ideas on how to research and resolve this?

For Outlook Connector issues, the first place to check is

That web site couldn't help... they said it was a hotmail issue and pointed
me somewhere else.... which pointed me somewhere else... which pointed me...

Finally was able to get someone of the phone in the Microsoft Office support
group, who also apparently support Outlook Connector (?)

Through process of elimination we identified the problem as a corrupted
Outlook profile record for that one mail account. By creating a new profile
and recreating all my mail configurations we were able to eliminate the
error. Note that we actually had to create a new profile; just deleting the
mail setup and recreating the mail setup did not work.

A new profile can correct a wide array of issues. I'm glad you got it sorted.
